Kuten jo edellisen postauksen lopussa enteilin, ei White Sandsissa mennyt kaikki ihan suunnitellusti. Olimme siis suunnitelleet telttailevamme yön yli dyyneillä, mutta alueella suoritettavien missiilikokeiden vuoksi jouduimme yöpymään teltassa toisaalla. Palasimme kuitenkin aamulla paraatipaikalle varhain katsomaan auringonnousua valkoisella hiekalla. Kohtalo päätti kuitenkin toisin. Auringonnousun sijaan saimme syödä taco-aamiaista parkkipaikalla. As I was already predicting at the end of the last post, things didn’t quite pan out the way we’d expected at White Sands. We had planned on camping in the dunes, but since there was a missile closure in the area, we had to camp elsewhere. We however returned to the national monument early the next morning to see the sunrise on the white sand. But fate decided otherwise. Instead of viewing the sunrise, we got to have breakfast in the parking lot. You can see how I felt on this video. I was feeling a bit sarcastic, or what do you think? Would you like to see some more behind the scenes videos in the future? PS. I’m leaving for Alaska in just one week!
