Oregonin rannikko on täynnä leirintäalueita, mutta harvassa paikassa pääsee telttailemaan aivan veden äärellä. Tillicum Beach on yksi näistä paikoista, ja se varataan täyteen jo talvella. Yhdestä yöstä joutui maksamaan koko viikonlopun hinnan, mutta ajattelimme sen olevan silti hintansa väärti. Olimme napanneet mukaan lettutaikinan ainekset sekä pari rasiaa tuoreita marjoja paikallisilta markkinoilta, ja suunnitelmissa oli auringonlaskun jälkeen paistella lettuja telttapaikalla. Ensin otimme kuitenkin valosta ja rannasta ilon irti.

The Oregon Coast is full of campgrounds, but only a few offer the opportunity to camp right by the water. Tillicum Beach is one of these and it might get fully booke already in winter. We had to pay for the entire weekend to spend one night there, but figured it was still worth it. We had gotten ingredients for pancakes and some fresh local berries at a farmer’s market and were gonna prepare them at our campsite after sunset. First however, we took full advantage of the evening light and the sandy beach.
